Cavs Make it Look Easy in Win Over Heat

The Heat were no match for the NBA champion Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday

The Miami Heat were unable to keep up with the Cleveland Cavaliers in their 114-84 loss on Friday.

Going into the building of the NBA champions figured to be a tough task for Miami and that proved true in this one. The Cavs took an 11-point lead into the half and only built it more in the second half. This was Miami's fourth loss in a row and dropped the team's record to 7-16.

LeBron James was not very friendly to his former team as he flirted with a triple-double in the win. The All-Star had 27 points, eight rebounds and eight assists to help his team coast to the victory.

Hassan Whiteside was contained by Cleveland's defense and was mostly taken out of the equation for the game. Whiteside who has dominated most teams this year ended up with only eight points and 12 rebounds in the loss. The center also turned the ball over four times in one of his worst outings of the season.

Goran Dragic led Miami's starters with his 15 points, but was not at his best. Dragic had been on fire lately with solid production, and in this one he was only 4-11 from the field and committed four turnovers himself.

Miami tossed up 27 three-pointers in the loss and only made six of them. Trailing by a good deal of points forced the Heat to throw up some shots from behind the three-point line. That did not go so well however, as most missed the mark and the ball ended up going the other way down the court.

On Saturday, Miami will say hello to another former mate when it visits Dwyane Wade and the Chicago Bulls.
