Central Florida Woman Dies After Being Shot by Husband During Fight

A central Florida woman has died days after police say her husband shot her during an argument over infidelity.

Holly Hill Police Chief Steve Aldrich says 47-year-old Jeanette Ramos died Tuesday night.

The Daytona Beach News-Journal reports 42-year-old Anibal Muniz remained in jail early Thursday and officials say his charges will be upgraded to murder.

Police say the two argued Sunday after Ramos accused Muniz of cheating on her. According to a news release, Muniz called 911 and told police he and his wife had scuffled for his handgun. He later told police he had control of the weapon the entire time.

The couple's children were in the home when the shooting occurred.

It's not known whether Muniz has a lawyer.
