Clinton, Trump Campaigns Continue Sunshine State Push With Election Two Weeks Away

With just over two weeks to go until America decides who will be the next President, both major party candidates will be in the Sunshine State – as will one candidate’s running mate.

Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine, the Democratic Party nominee for Vice President, spoke at an event Monday on the campus of Florida International University. Kaine encouraged voters to get out and cast their ballots - as early voting begin in Miami-Dade and Broward counties Monday

Kaine’s running mate, Hillary Clinton, will also be in South Florida this week. She is scheduled to attend a rally in Coconut Creek on the campus of Broward College. Clinton will return on Saturday for an event in downtown Miami, taking the stage as part of a concert with singer Jennifer Lopez.

Her husband, former President Bill Clinton, was in South Florida this past weekend – attending church services in Miami-Dade County and an event in Broward County.

Clinton’s main opponent in the general election, Republican Party nominee Donald Trump, is also spending time in Florida with the election nearing its end. Trump spoke at an event in Naples on Sunday and will continue on Monday with events in St. Augustine and Tampa.

Trump is expected to visit Miami on Tuesday and meet with members of the 2506 Assault Bridgade, a group of veterans from the Bay of Pigs invasion, before finishing his Sunshine State swing with events in Sanford and Tallahassee.
