Conspiring Casanova Caught: Coral Springs Police

“Florenciano Valentino” is really Anthony Maldanado, 18, of Miami Gardens, police said

Coral Springs Police said they nabbed the conspiring Casanova who took an 18-year-old woman out on a date while his accomplice broke into her home, stealing $4,300 worth of her property.

It turns out that “Florenciano Valentino” is actually Anthony Maldanado, 18, of Miami Gardens, police said Thursday.

He was taken into custody without incident on charges of residential burglary and grand theft and taken to Miami-Dade County Jail, where he later posted $4,500 bond, they said.

According to police, Maldanado, using his Italian moniker, met Kelley Galbraith, 18, at a party a week before they went out to lunch at Applebee’s in Coral Springs on Feb. 25. While they were on their date, Maldanado’s partner broke into Galbraith’s house through a window and stole “several high-value items,” police said.

Before he left Applebee’s, Maldanado stole his date’s cell phone and left her with the bill, police added.

Police are still looking for Maldanado’s accomplice, and ask anyone with information on the case to call Detective Anthony Cassini at 954-346-1251.
