Crist Gives Out Sex Hot Line for Kid Health Care

Governor's spokesman said the script was wrong, not Crist

There's a reason Gov. Charlie Crist was voted worst governor in the nation.

The much-maligned state head can now add phone sex to a list of missteps leading up to his run for U.S. Senate.

In a taped recording promoting the state's children's health care hot line, Crist gives out the number to a different kind of hot line - phone sex chat.

Anyone calling the number Crist gives out is greeted with options for foreplay not preventative measures for the swine flu.

Here's the intro: "Hey there, sexy guy, welcome to an exciting new way to go live one on one with hot (expletive) girls waiting right now to talk to you."

This can't be Crist's idea of health care reform. The number was supposed to go to the Florida Kid Care center, which helps uninsured parents get solutions for their child's medical issues.

It's unclear how many needy parents seeking health care relief called the phone number, but they probably got more than an ear full. The New York Times has reported the problem was quickly fixed.

"He read it right, the script was wrong," said Sterling Ivey, a spokesman for Crist, in a phone interview with a Jacksonville TV station. "We had transposed the numbers in drafting the script in error, just had phone number there."

You can add this to several big blunders in recent months for the aspiring Senator.

Crist admitted he had no clue the president was in his state during a visit to Miami recently. And he has tried his best to back pedal from his stimulus love affair with Barack Obama, which has made him a prime target for Republicans who don't agree with  Crist.
