Florida Panthers Release Schedule For 2016-17 Season, Featuring Visit by Every NHL Team

  • The Florida Panthers released their regular season schedule for the 2016-17 season, which gets started October 13th at home.

Fresh off the first divisional title in franchise history, the Florida Panthers now know when they will be hitting the ice to open the 2016-17 season.

The NHL announced the regular season schedules for all 30 teams Tuesday afternoon, and the Panthers will get to start the season at home against the New Jersey Devils on October 13th at 7:30 PM. Florida will play four of their first five games at home.

Under the new NHL scheduling format this season, the Panthers will host the 29 other teams in the NHL at least once this season at home. Florida will host the defending Western Conference champions San Jose Sharks on November 10th and the defending Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins on December 8th.

The Panthers will start off with a seven game preseason schedule that includes three games at home and one game that will be played in West Point, NY near the home of the U.S. Military Academy.
