A Florida woman says her world class miniature horses have been targeted by a man who has repeatedly sexually abused them, and now she's ready to take matters into her own hands.

Abby Conder, who lives in Summerfield near Ocala, treats her horses like they're her kids.

"We breed these horses, we show them, we sell them," Conder told WESH.

But she said one of the horses was brutally attacked by a man recently.

"She had been severely brutalized, she had been raped both by a man and with several objects," said Conder, who said the vet found bodily fluids inside the horse.

Conder said Marion County Sheriff's Office investigators took a report but so far have offered little help.

"We've been told that we have to catch him in the act and we catch him in the act and call them, they'll come and arrest him," she said. "But we don't want to die trying to protect our horses."

Conder says she bought a dog to protect the horses but it was beaten to death. When she set up a surveillance system and a live internet feed, the cameras caught the man in her barn on Saturday.

"He walked down this way, he inspected the horses that were on the left first to see what was in the stalls," she said. "They can't fight with a person, they don't know to fight with a person, they will go with anybody."

Conder said if she spots the man inside her barn again, she'll take matters into her own hands.

"I've never shot a gun in my life but if I catch this man in this barn taking out another one of my horses and he's gonna traumatize this young horse and hurt her internally like he has my other horses, I will come down and I will kill him," Conder said.
