A 53-year-old man was rushed to the hospital after he was bitten by a snake in Miramar Tuesday afternoon, officials said.

According to Miramar Fire, the man may have been bitten by a Coral snake but authorities say they are not sure what type of snake attacked the man.

The man, who was not identified, was transported to Memorial Regional in unknown condition.
