A man is being questioned by Coral Gables Police after he reportedly got onto the grounds of an elementary school.
According to police, 27-year-old Alexander Carret was spotted onto the grounds of the Henry S. West Laboratory School at 5300 Carilo Street in Coral Gables Wednesday morning. Carret was attempting to break a window in the media center.
Employees called police, who took Carret into custody for questioning. The incident occurred about an hour before students would have reported for morning classes.
No injuries were reported.
Carret was arrested and charged with occupied burglary, criminal mischief and resisting arrest without violence.
It is not known whether Carret has hired an attorney.
