Man Surrenders in Alleged Road Rage Shooting

Rodney Paul turned himself in Friday.

A man involved in a fatal road rage shooting turned himself in Friday after being indicted by a grand jury on manslaughter charges, according to the victim's lawyers.

Rodney Paul, 45, was indicted Thursday in the July 24 shooting of Rodney Gray, 47. The shooting happened in Pembroke Pines shortly after 9 p.m. on the 10600 block of Southwest 8th Street.

Police said Paul and his girlfriend were involved in a fender bender with Gray's girlfriend, who called Gray to come and defend her.

During the altercation, Paul pulled out a handgun and fired three times, hitting Gray twice in the upper torso, police said.

Gray was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital where he later died.

Paul was released on bond later on Friday. It is unclear if he has an attorney.
