Married Couple Riding ATV, Dirt Bike Killed in Crash: FHP

A married couple died after crashing head-on into each other while one rode an ATV and the other rode a dirt bike.

    A Tampa Bay area married couple died after the two nearly crashed into each other while riding ATVs.

    A Tampa Bay area married couple died after authorities say they crashed nearly head-on into each other.

    The Florida Highway Patrol reports that 40-year-old Tracy Arnold was riding a Yamaha YZ85 dirt bike, and 36-year-old Michael Arnold II was riding a Yamaha Banshee ATV in a rural area of Hernando County Thursday night. The two were riding in opposite directions when FHP says they ran into each other.

    The man and woman were both thrown from their vehicles and died at the scene.

    FHP says neither rider was wearing a helmet. Investigators are awaiting a toxicology report.
