1 Dead in 4-Car Crash in Southwest Miami-Dade: Police

One person is dead after a crash involving four cars in Southwest Miami-Dade, officials said. Homicide investigators are looking into the crash that happened at about 9:41 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Southwest 117th Avenue and Southwest 72nd Street, according to Miami-Dade Police. Authorities say a 3-year-old boy has died after being accidentally struck by a pickup truck driven by a family member.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, the pickup truck backed over the child Sunday in a Loxahatchee neighborhood.

The child was flown to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Deputy Eric Davis tells The Palm Beach Post that no charges are pending. Neither the child nor the relative who was driving were identified.
