NBC 6 and Telemundo 51 teamed up with the American Red Cross to host the Caring for Our Community: Disaster Relief Phone Bank.
The initiative raised $53,835 Monday evening.
The monetary donations were collected for those affected by Hurricanes Irma and Maria, as well as the earthquake in Mexico.
