4-Year-Old Child, Mother Not Seriously Hurt After Crash in Custody Dispute: Police
A young girl and her mother were brought to Aventura Hospital after the child's father rammed his car into theirs during a custody dispute, police said. Hallandale Beach Police Major Miguel Martinez spoke about the incident.
Ira L. McCutcheon, 21, is wanted on the charge of felony aggravated battery in the Dec. 27 incident in the 900 block of West Pembroke Road, police said Friday.
Police say McCutcheon intentionally rammed his car into the rear of his ex-girlfriend's car while their 4-year-old daughter was sitting in the back seat.
He fled the scene but later returned the child to a family member of the ex-girlfriend, police said. McCutcheon had reportedly brandished a firearm during an earlier custody dispute, police said.
McCutcheon remains at large and is known to frequent Pembroke Park, Carver Ranches and West Hollywood, police said. He has a previous arrest for firearms violations and could be in possession of a gun and is considered armed and dangerous, police said.
A $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to his capture and anyone with info is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
