Police are searching for a man they say stole $5,000 in tools from a Davie paving business before his vehicle was captured on surveillance footage.

Authorities said the man entered Triple R Paving and broke into a mechanical work truck. He left with $5,000 worth of power tools and fled in his Dodge Ram pickup truck, according to police.

The crime occurred on May 18 between 1:30 p.m. and 3:40 p.m. at 3328 Burris Road.
