Police Shoot Man Wanted for Questioning in Murder of Kendall Woman

A man wanted for questioning in the killing of a Kendall woman was injured in a police-involved shooting during a confrontation in southwest Miami-Dade Thursday, officials said.

Miami-Dade Police said officers approached the man at a trailer park in the 600 block of Northwest 3rd Avenue in Florida City. When the man tried to hit them with his truck, the officers opened fire, hitting the man, officials said.

The man was taken to Jackson South Trauma with non-life threatening injuries. His name wasn't released.

Police said the man was wanted for questioning in the killing of 65-year-old Vicki Feeley, who died after she was violently attacked during a robbery outside her Kendall home Saturday.

It was confirmed by investigators Thursday that Feeley was run over by a truck.

Earlier Thursday, police said they were looking for a silver or grey pickup truck in the case. Police said detectives followed leads which led them to the stolen truck at the trailer park.
