The latest memorial for those who were killed in the deadly 2016 Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando was created in the early hours of Wednesday as a crosswalk near the building has a rainbow colored theme.

Workers from the city painted the crosswalk with the six colors of the Pride flag after the club’s owner, Barbara Poma, spoke with members of the community about what they wanted to be done, according to NBC affiliate WESH-TV.

Thousands signed a petition asking for the colorful memorial, set to honor the 49 people who were killed in what was once the deadliest mass shooting in modern American history.
