    Miami Police are investigating a shooting that left one person dead in Coconut Grove.

    The suspect wanted in Friday s fatal and apparently accidental shooting in Pompano Beach turned himself in Wednesday, authorities said. Adiel Jaramillo, 20, surrendered to Broward Sheriff s Office homicide detectives, accompanied by his lawyer, the BSO said in a statement. The parents of victim Michael Cornelio, Helen and Vinny Cornelio, discuss the case.

    "I was told he was talking to his friend who had just gotten off from work and they just sitting out in the yard talking and they just came up behind them and snuck up on them and started shooting," said Gibson's mother Bellsennes James.

    Authorities said there were at least two shooters who used at least two guns in an ambush.

    Jeffrey Paul, known as DJ Big Boy in South Florida, was shot in a police-involved confrontation after officers said he opened his front door while holding a handgun. NBC 6's Claudia DoCampo reports.

    Gibson's friend, who was identified as also being in his early 20s, was shot in the foot, police said. He was taken to the hospital and later released.

    Gibson died on the scene, according to police.

    One person was killed and another was in custody after three suspects started shooting at each other Thursday, Opa-locka Police said. Opa-locka Assistant City Manager and police spokesman David Chiverton discussed the incident.

    "I want them to know that you took my backbone, you took someone that was everything to me," James said. "He didn't get into any trouble. I never had to go to the police station for him."

    Gibson had no criminal record. Family members said he worked at the local Fresh Market and hoped to become a security guard.

    "It's just senseless, my nephew never bothered nobody," said uncle Clarence Lewis.

    Gibson's brother, 13-year-old Alex James, agreed.

    "They took a good man from this earth," he said. "He never did any harm to anybody."

    Miami Police are on the lookout for the unidentified gunmen, and are offering a reward of up to $1000 to anyone that has any information.

    "We know that there are people that know what happened," said Miami Police Sergeant Confesor Gonzalez. "We know that there are people that saw what happened and we know that there are people that actually saw the shooters running away from the scene."
