Teen Arrested in Drive-By Shooting That Killed 15-Year-Old Boy: Miami-Dade Police

A teen has been arrested in the drive-by shooting that killed a 15-year-old boy in northwest Miami-Dade, police said Thursday.

The 17-year-old suspect was arrested after a traffic stop in Miramar Wednesday, Miami-Dade Police said. He was taken to a juvenile assessment center and is facing a second-degree murder charge.

Police said the victim, 15-year-old Calixto Logan, was walking on the sidewalk at Northwest 106th Street and Northwest 6th Avenue Tuesday evening when a car drove by and someone fired several shots at him.

Logan was hit several times and taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital where he died. Police haven't given a possible motive for the shooting.
