A three-year-old child has died after being found at the bottom of a pool in Lauderhill.
Police say the child fell into a pool at a home located on northwest 4th Street and 37th Avenue. The toddler was not breathing when he was pulled from the water by a police officer who lives on the same street.
The officer was approached by a woman who said the boy was missing. Police responded and started a search, eventually finding the child.
The three-year-old was rushed to Plantation General Hospital in critical condition, where he later died. He reportedly was at the house of his great-grandparents because his parents were working over the holidays.
