Vladimir Putin Arrested Outside West Palm Beach Publix After Arguing With Employees

West Palm Beach Police arrested a man on who has quite the familiar name: Vladimir Putin.

No, it was not the President of Russia who ended up in jail, but a resident of the city who shares his name.

A member of the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to NBC 6 that Putin was also charged with resisting arrest following the incident outside a Publix.

Store employees said he was screaming at them and refusing to leave. Putin was taken into custody and charged with trespassing.

He had a court appearance Monday and was released from custody shortly after noon Tuesday. Putin is scheduled for another court appearance in late September.

Court records do not list an address for him. Sheriff's Deputy Eric Davis says he didn't know if Putin had a lawyer.
