A line of strong storms was expected to affect northern Miami-Dade County north up to Delray Beach, the National Weather Service reported.
A warm and muggy Tuesday was in store in South Florida, as a mostly dry morning gave way to isolated showers in the afternoon and evening.
Temperatures will start out in the high 70s and could reach as high as 90 in the afternoon.
Wednesday will be a touch cooler with highs around 82. Shower chances will stay in the forecast into Thursday.
