Wynwood Is One Of The Hottest Neighborhoods in America, Study Says

Wynwood, the vibrant, colorful neighborhood located in the heart of Miami, is one of the 25 “hottest hoods” in America, according to a new study from HotSpot Rentals.

The blossoming, whimsical neighborhood is known for abstract and figurative works of street art splashed across walls, local businesses and restaurants. As the 15th “hottest neighborhood” in the United States, Wynwood attracts artists and collectors from all over the world

HotSpot Rentals analyzed six different metrics to determine the 25 hottest neighborhoods in America. They measured the walkability of each neighborhood, ease of access to public transportation, local budget, entertainment opportunities, quality of life and weather. Wynwood earned high scores in the walkability, weather and lifestyle categories and had an average score of 76. (Scores for each category were out of 100.)

The lifestyle tally included bikeability, pet friendliness and outdoor activities, according to the study. The entertainment metric honed in on restaurants, bars, coffee shops, fairs, festivals and music. Wynwood’s score in the entertainment category was 43.

The number one hottest neighborhood in the United States, according to the study, was The Mission District in San Francisco with an overall score of 92. Bushwick, New York City earned the number two spot, with Jackson Square, San Francisco coming in third.
