Two Pakistani-American brothers have been arrested and charged with conspiring to support terrorism, federal prosecutors said Friday. Raees Alam Qazi, 20, and Sheheryar Alam Qazi, 30, both U.S. citizens, were taken into custody Thursday by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. A U.S. Attorney's office spokeswoman said they were accused of providing funding, lodging, communications equipment and transportation for terrorism and conspiring to use explosives against people or property within the U.S. Few details were given in the three-page indictment, but authorities said the case was not an FBI sting operation. "Any potential threat posed by these two individuals has been disrupted," the U.S. Attorney said in a statement. They have been charged with one count of conspiring to provide material support to terrorists and one count of conspiring to use a weapon of mass destruction.
