Amid the hubbub over President Barack Obama’s back-to-school speech on Tuesday, which some conservatives claim is an attempt to “indoctrinate students,” Education Secretary Arne Duncan makes his Sunday show debut on CBS’ “Face the Nation.”

CNN’s “State of the Union” will air live from the Minnesota State Fair with Republican Gov. Tim Pawlenty, who blasted the school speech as “uninvited,” and Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.). The new director of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Dr. Thomas Frieden, will also appear to talk about the flu.

Elsewhere, health care reform takes center stage ahead of the president’s address to a joint session of Congress on Wednesday, with White House senior adviser David Axelrod on “Meet the Press.”

Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, a Republican who’s been flirting with a run for governor, Former Rep. Harold Ford Jr. (D-Tenn.), Tom Friedman of The New York Times and Tom Brokaw will follow on a "Meet" round table.

ABC’s “This Week” features White House press secretary Robert Gibbs, along with former Senate Democratic Leader Tom Daschle of South Dakota, former Senate Republican Leader Bob Dole of Kansas and Reps. Mike Pence (R-Ind.) and Maxine Waters (D-Calif.).

“Fox News Sunday” has former Democratic National Chairman Howard Dean, a physician; former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.): Center for American Progress President John Podesta, who headed Obama's presidential transition; and Senate Republican Conference Chairman Lamar Alexander of Tennessee.

Bloomberg’s “Political Capital” features an interview with Teamsters Union President James Hoffa, who says it’s time to “declare a victory” on health care reform and pass major overhaul legislation.

Finally, C-SPAN’s “Newsmakers” hosts Wayne Clough of the Smithsonian Institution, who'll be interviewed by Brett Zongker of The Associated Press and Stacy Palmer of the Chronicle of Philanthropy.
