Former Los Angeles Clipper and Laker Lamar Odom was arrested Friday morning on suspicion of DUI after a California Highway Patrol officer saw him weaving through lanes on the 101 Freeway in the San Fernando Valley, according to authorities.

The 33-year-old NBA free agent and husband of TV star Khloe Kardashian was booked into Van Nuys jail after the arrest at about 4 a.m., according to jail records. He was released on $15,000 bond later Friday morning.

California Highway Patrol officers reported that he was driving erratically on the eastbound 101 Freeway near Sepulveda Boulevard in a white Mercedes Benz sport utility vehicle. The vehicle was traveling at approximately 50 mph before the driver pulled off the freeway at Coldwater Canyon Boulevard.

The officer was unable to conduct a field sobriety test, but reported that Odom showed signs of intoxication. Odom was brought to Van Nuys Jail, where he was booked on suspicion of DUI after a chemical test, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Odom, the subject of recent reports regarding drug addiction, became a free agent at the end of last season. TMZ reported that Odom went missing last weekend after a fight with his wife.

An agent told ESPN Odom was not missing. ESPN, citing an unidentified source, reported that Odom was at a hotel with friends who were trying to help with his drug addiction.

Kardashian Odom tweeted after the reports, stating that it was "really hard to sit here and listen to people talk … about my family."

Odom was drafted by the Clippers in the first round of the 1999 NBA draft.

Odom joined the Miami Heat before signing with the Lakers, where he spent seven seasons. The team won NBA championships in 2010 and 2011 and Odom won the NBA's sixth man award in 2011.

Odom played one season for Dallas before he was traded back to the Clippers in 2012. He became a free agent at the end of the season.
