Man Claiming to Be Ricky Williams' Real Dad Files Lawsuit

Dallas man says he is Ricky Williams' daddy

A man claiming to be Ricky Williams' long-lost father is hoping for a reunion for Christmas - and $2.5 million.

Ross Williams, a 68-year-old former musician and airline employee in Dallas, has filed a lawsuit in Texas claiming his football playing son and estranged baby mama owe him millions for all his pain and suffering, reports the Dallas Observer.

Williams joins LeBron James as Miami star athletes who have men suing them while claiming to be their real fathers.

The lawsuit, filed on Nov. 29, Ross names Ricky and his mother, Cassandra Williams, as defendants.

In the court filing, Ross Williams claims he had a relationship with Ricky's mother in 1977 and that Cassandra "has been living a lie for the past 33 years." Cassandra Williams left town just after telling Ross Williams she was pregnant, the lawsuit states.

The Miami Dolphins responded to the lawsuit by saying there was no truth to the allegations, but the Dolphins enigmatic running back hasn't commented yet.

In the ESPN 30 for 30 film documentary "Run, Ricky, Run," Ricky Williams names Errik Williams Sr. as his father. He alleged the man sexually abused him as a child before leaving the family when Ricky was 6.

Ross Williams claims his would-be son was lied to and that he is the real father.

Despite the request for millions in monetary damages, Ross Williams later writes in the court documents that isn't isn't about the money.

"I am only seeking an opportunity to finally meet my children in person and clear up all the mistakes, hard feelings, and misunderstandings while I am still able to clarify the situation," he wrote.
