Wade Injures Hamstring in Loss to Bucks

The Heat lost Tuesday's game to the Bucks and lost Dwyane Wade to another injury

The Miami Heat suffered two losses on Tuesday when Dwyane Wade injured his hamstring in a 109-102 game that was taken by the Milwaukee Bucks.

Wade was lifted in the third quarter and was unable to return. The hamstring is not the same one that kept Wade out of recent games. It is possible that the star could miss more time in the upcoming week.

Miami entered the game already shorthanded as Chris Andersen and Luol Deng were both unavailable. Andersen missed the game with elbow and back ailments while Deng is battling a sore calf.

The Heat trailed by four points at the half but tied the game up heading into the fourth quarter even without Wade. The Bucks proved to be too much however in that final quarter where they outscored Miami by seven.

Wade tallied 12 points and four assists in his 19 minutes before exiting. The guard turned the ball over four times but also stole it twice. Wade was also having a solid night in terms of efficiency as he was 5-9 before leaving.

Hassan Whiteside posted another big line with a double-double. Following up on a historic game on Sunday, Whiteside had 16 points and 16 rebounds in a career-high 36 minutes. The center has solidified his spot in the starting lineup and has made national headlines with his play.

With Deng unavailable, Danny Granger was given a start at small forward. Granger took advantage of the opportunity with his 14 points and six rebounds in 36 minutes. This was a season-high in terms of minutes for Granger and his most time on the court since December.

The Heat will take on the Dallas Mavericks on Friday at 8:00 p.m.
