Cold nights are expected for South Florida this weekend.
It will be sunny and dry Saturday with cool highs in the mid-60s, with winds from the north at 10 mph to 15 mph. Expect another chilly night Saturday with temperatures in the low 50s near the beaches and in the 40s across the inland areas.
For the boaters, a small-craft advisory is in effect Saturday. They can expect north winds at 15 knots to 20 knots, 4- to 6-foot seas, and it will be choppy on the bay and inland waters.
The water temperature should be 76 degrees.
Sunday will be warmer with highs in the mid-70s. The warming trend continues to Christmas Day, with highs near 80 degrees for the holiday.
