    Tropical Depression Humberto as of 11 p.m. Wednesday.

    Humberto was downgraded from a tropical storm to a tropical depression as it weakened over the far eastern Atlantic Ocean Wednesday night, the National Hurricane Center in Miami said.

    As of 11 p.m., Humberto had maximum sustained winds of 35 mph as it moved north at 9 mph about 1,000 miles west-southwest of the Azores.

    There were no coastal watches or warnings in effect and no hazards affecting land.

    Little change in strength is expected on Thursday, with Humberto forecast to turn to the northeast with an increase in speed in the next 48 hours.
