Kat Von D, Jesse James Engagement Back On

Tattooed starlet drops big news after TLC cancels "LA Ink"

Kat Von D lost her cable TV show – but she’s re-upped with Jesse James.

Within hours of TLC announcing it had pulled the plug on “LA Ink,” the heavily tattooed beauty and bad boy motorcycle mechanic each tweeted photos showing off their reunion.

James, who locked lips with Von D in his photo, confirmed to People the engagement was back on track.

"Sometimes you are only given one chance in life," he told the mag. "It was up to me to open my eyes and see it. That girl is my chance. I will never stop fighting and striving to hold on to her. Showing her how special she is, and how much I love her."

Earlier Thursday, TLC said the current season of "LA Ink," the reality show that follows Von D through her business and personal life, would be its last.

"The network is proud of what the series has accomplished in its four seasons, following Kat Von D's journey as an artist from Miami to Los Angeles,” TLC said in a statement to RadarOnline.

Von D, 29, whose real name is Katherine Von Drachenberg, was engaged to James after his marriage to Sandra Bullock ended. But the pair called off their wedding last month, with James telling People magazine that the commute between his home in Austin and hers in LA was too far.

According to Von D, “LA Ink” wasn't cancelled. She said walked out on the show because of the way it handled her split from James.

"In an effort to capitalize on my recent breakup, the network has decided to focus their energy on re-editing events that didn't happen while filming," she told People. "I have no regrets and am very proud of the original footage. In my opinion, any attempt to compromise the honesty of that would be an insult to my fans and viewers."
