Man Shot By Police in Lauderhill

The first incident happened some time around 3 a.m. when police say a red vehicle ordered food through the speaker system at the Burger King at 6125 W. Sunrise Boulevard.

Police say the vehicle drove past the window and a man on foot carrying a gun and wearing a bandanna over his face followed behind and demanded money from the clerk.

The suspect fled on foot with money from the store. The second robbery happened just a couple hours later at the McDonald's at 2260 N. University Drive.

The second robbery was similar but this time the clerk was able to close the drive-thru door and the suspect fled on foot empty handed, police said.

Police said Berry gave a full confession to his involvement. He was being held without bond Thursday and it was unknown whether he has an attorney.

Detectives are still trying to identify and locate the other person or persons involved in the robberies.
