Cheney will likely break news on CNN host John King's “State of the Union.”

Vice President Dick Cheney gives his first television interview since leaving office Sunday, with the Obama economic team rounding out the weekend talk shows.

Cheney sits down live with host John King on CNN’s “State of the Union” for what is sure to be a newsy chat. In a POLITICO interview last month, for instance, Cheney warned of a catastrophic terrorist attack ahead and chided President Barack Obama for closing the military prison for terrorists at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Following Cheney on CNN, Rep. Joe Sestak of Pennsylvania offers a Democratic view.

Later, Lawrence Summers, director of the president’s National Economic Council, gets top billing on CBS’s “Face the Nation” and on ABC’s “This Week.”

ABC host George Stephanopoulos also brings in Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.). And CBS host Bob Schieffer follows Summers with New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman.

Christina Romer, chairwoman of Obama’s Council of Economic Advisers, headlines NBC’s “Meet the Press,” with House Minority Whip Eric Cantor of Virginia offering a Republican view.

On “Fox News Sunday,” Obama economic adviser Austan Goolsbee appears along with Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) and Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.), chairman of the House Financial Institutions Committee.

And on Bloomberg TV, former Sen. Bill Bradley (D-N.J.) sits down with host Al Hunt on “Political Capital” to offer his take on the worldwide financial crisis.
