One person was killed and three others were hospitalized after an apparent wrong-way wreck in Davie Saturday morning, police said.
The wreck occurred in the northbound lanes of I-75 near Sheridan Street, when a Porsche driving southbound in the northbound lanes hit a Honda Pilot head on.
Florida Highway Patrol said the driver of the Porsche Jenri Velasquez Ruiz, 23, died on the scene and the passenger is in critical condition. The passenger has been transported to Broward Health Medical Center and has not yet been identified.
The two occupants of the Honda Pilot Abel Soriano, 52, and Sandra Soriano, 51, were transported to Broward Health as well. One occupant is in serious condition, the other occupant suffered minor injuries.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
