A driver in Broward County died Thursday morning after his truck plunged into a canal in Lauderhill Lakes.
Crews from Oakland Park and Broward Fire Rescue, along with a diver from Lauderhill Fire Rescue, responded to the area near NW 31st Avenue and 39th Street shortly before 10:30 a.m.
Once there, they were able to pull a person out of the car that went into the canal, but that unidentified man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials have not released any additional information.
