2 People Injured in Early Morning Hit and Run Crash in Little Haiti

Two people were rushed to the hospital after Miami Police said they were struck by a hit and run driver in Little Haiti early Tuesday morning.

Video obtained from 305CHASERS shows Miami Police and Fire Rescue officials at the scene near Northwest 64th Street and 2nd Avenue, where both victims were transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Police say the victims -identified by family members as 30-year-old Shameka Cone and Jay Cephus - were hit by an older model Infiniti that fled the scene.

Cone, who family members say is a mother of seven, is listed in critical condition with massive head injuries after being dragged one block.

Cephus suffered a broken leg and arm after being thrown into a tree, but is expected to survive.
