No. 1 – Two People Rescued From Fiery Crash
Two people are in the hospital after a fiery crash in Miami Gardens. A car crashed through the fence of a church on Northwest 52nd Ave. Two good Samaritans helped pull a man and a woman from inside the car.
No. 2 – BSO Announces New Active Shooter Policies
In the wake of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas safety commission’s scathing report, Broward Sheriff Scott Israel announced a new set of policies for his department, which include new training for deputies and security cameras.
No. 3 – Murder Investigation Underway in Northwest Miami-Dade

A murder investigation is now underway in Northwest Miami-Dade after a woman was killed and two others were injured by gunfire. It happened outside the Lincoln Fields apartment complex in Brownsville, less than an hour after Christmas.
No. 4 – ‘One Bullet Kills The Party’
City of Miami officials want to remind the public that ‘One Bullet Kills The Party.’ On Thursday, Mayor Francis Suarez will hold an annual press conference reminding the public not to shoot their weapons in the air on New Year’s Eve.
No. 5 – Government Shutdown
It’s day six of the Government Shutdown. TSA agents at both Miami International Airport and Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport are still working, but won’t get paid. If you’re planning on going to the parks this weekend, Big Cyprus National Preserve, Biscayne National Park, the Dry Tortugas and the Everglades will remain accessible, but there will not be any staff. Officials urge caution.
No. 6 – Miami Hurricanes vs. Wisconsin Badgers
Happening today – the Miami Hurricanes wrap up the 2018 season with a trip to the Big Apple to play in this year’s Pinstripe Bowl. The Canes will take on the Wisconsin Badgers inside New York City’s Yankee Stadium. Kick-off is set for 5:15 p.m.
