No. 2 - President Donald Trump is leaving Washington for the first time since House Democrats ramped up their impeachment inquiry - and he’s heading straight into the warm embrace of a Republican stronghold.
Trump is due to visit The Villages, a sprawling retirement hub about an hour north of Orlando that is a must-stop for GOP candidates. The president plans to announce an executive order to protect Medicare during his visit Thursday and address an invitation-only group.
No. 3 - The 17-year-old teen hailed as a hero for saving a mother and son from a near drowning in Virginia Key died Wednesday, according to a spokesperson with Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Christian Burgos had been in a coma since the Monday afternoon incident as family members were deciding whether to take him off life support. Officials said a 25-year-old mother was teaching her 9-year-old son how to swim when they were both whisked away by strong currents. Burgos saw them struggling to swim back and jumped in to help, but he also got caught in the currents.
No. 4 - A South Florida mother is racing against the deportation clock after receiving a letter saying she must return to her native Brazil after living for over a decade and a half in the United States.

During a recent hearing, Ane Maschiach was given paperwork saying she must return by February or she will be arrested – saying she knew it was wrong to come illegally 16 years ago, but is now just one step away from getting her green card that would allow her to stay with her husband and children in Boca Raton.
No. 5 - Hialeah recently ranked in the top 20 of most miserable cities in the United States, according to a list published by Business Insider. It was one of five other South Florida cities that were ranked in the top 50.
The yearly report uses census data from 1,000 cities, considering factors like median household incomes, employment, healthcare and commute. Hialeah ranked No. 13 due to the fact that 26% of residents live in poverty.
No. 6 - Seventeen new lawsuits were filed against the maker of Pam cooking spray Thursday, as victims say they were severely injured when cans exploded in their kitchens.
