Weather wise, patchy morning fog will give way to sunshine and high temperatures in the upper 70s and lower 80s across South Florida.

No. 1 - Officials are advising residents to avoid the water for recreational activities near Oleta River State Park, Haulover Beach and the Intracoastal area following a sewage spill.

Officials announced Sunday that people should avoid swimming, fishing and boating in the affected areas because of a mechanical failure at a pump station.

No. 2 - A father jumped into action to save his wife and four children from a house fire in Pompano Beach.

The fire occurred overnight on Sunday in the area of Southwest 9th Court and 10th Drive. Some of the children were sleeping in bunk beds when the father opened a door and smelled smoke. A GoFundMe was started to help the family.

No. 3 - The U.S. Coast Guard says it has suspended a search for a downed small plane that disappeared with two people aboard about two dozen miles east of Florida.

The Coast Guard said Sunday that it had conducted aerial and maritime searches for 32 hours. Other searches were being conducted by the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.

No. 4 - The New England Patriots won their sixth Super Bowl Sunday in a mostly drab, defensive game that they ran away with late, beating the Los Angeles Rams 13-3.

It gives Tom Brady a sixth Super Bowl ring, a record. His Patriots are now tied with the Pittsburgh Steelers for the most wins by a franchise.

No. 5 - For the 13th time in franchise history, the Miami Dolphins are expected to name a new head coach – this one coming with plenty of recent success.

The Dolphins will officially hire Brian Flores as the new man in charge, one day after Flores helped lead the Patriots to that win in Super Bowl 53.

No. 6 - If you are someone who misses plastic straws at bars and restaurants in several South Florida cities that have banned them in favor or paper straws, one Florida House member introduced a bill to ban those bans.

Rep. Anthony Sabatini, a Republican from outside the Orlando area, filled a bill last week that would prohibit local governments from enacting such measures seen as a way to help protect the environment and decrease the amount of trash.
