7-Eleven Gets Pantsed

Police in Broward and Palm Beach counties wonder if the “Saggy-Pants Robber” is behind the 7-Eleven robberies

In the past week, 11 7-Eleven stores have been robbed in Broward and Palm Beach counties, making it 15 crimes at the convenient store brand in the past six months.

Now police in the two counties are working together to see if the robber in baggy britches with a Jamaican accent is responsible for all the crimes. This particular criminal, known as the Saggy-Pants Robber, held up at least five stores in Fort Lauderdale since November, according to the Miami Herald.

The remaining nine stores have been also been robbed by a similar suspect. While police have not confirmed the man with ill-fitting pants is solely to blame, it seems, they may be headed in that direction.

The most recent hold-ups took place Friday in Miramar and Pompano Beach, when three stores fell victim to robberies. The first  involved a masked-and-gloved bandit leading a woman inside a 7-Eleven on Pembroke Road. He then took money and cell phones from the stores’ employees.

Just a few hours later a similar criminal, also dressed in a mask and gloves, struck at two stores in Pompano where he took wallets from those inside the 7-Eleven.

No one was injured in the robberies, and the suspect still remains at large.
