Woman Bitten by Alligator at Wildlife Refuge in Palm Beach County

A woman was hospitalized after they were bitten by an alligator in a wildlife refuge in Palm Beach County Thursday morning, officials said.

The incident happened in the Arthur R. Marshall Wildlife Refuge, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue officials said.

Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officials said the woman, 31-year-old Kelsey Pollack, accidentally stepped on the gator while she was working at the refuge.

She was bitten on the leg, and her injuries were non-life threatening, officials said.
