Bodies of Missing Florida Mother and 4 Children Found in Georgia

Authorities say the bodies of four young Florida children are believed to have been located after the body of their mother was found in Georgia.

The Marion County Sheriff's Office said Monday that the remains of four children were found in Brantley County, hours after the body of their mother, Casei Jones, was found in the same area.

Detectives believe the bodies are the four missing children.

Investigators were questioning Casei Jones' husband in connection with her death, officials said. The sheriff's office said in a statement that an arrest warrant for second-degree homicide has been issued for the husband, Michael Jones.

Relatives of Casei Jones reported her and her four children missing Saturday after they hadn't been seen or heard from in six weeks. The children range in age from 1 to 10.

Authorities said Michael Jones was found in Brantley County on Sunday after a traffic accident. Casei Jones' remains were found in the vehicle he was driving at the time, officials said.

Michael Jones later led detectives to the remains of the four children, officials said.

"Although the remains have not been positively identified, detectives believe they are the remains of the four missing children," the sheriff's office said in a statement.

Investigators believe Michael Jones murdered the family at their Summerfield home and stored the bodies at his home and in his van for several weeks before going to Georgia.

More charges may be forthcoming, officials said.

"All we need to know is that's evil, and evil did something and evil needs to pay for what he did, plain and simple as that," Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods said at a news conference Monday.
