Charges were dropped Thursday against Miami rapper Trick Daddy in his April 2014 cocaine and firearm arrest.

Trick Daddy, whose real name is Maurice Young, had been charged with cocaine possession and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon after he was arrested by Broward Sheriff's Office deputies at his Miramar home.

According to the affidavit, the Broward County Drug Task Force had a "sniff warrant" to search the home and stopped Young as he was leaving in his car.

When deputies searched the home, they found 1g of powder that field tested positive for cocaine, the affidavit said. A 9mm Sig Sauer and a box of ammunition were also found in the home, the affidavit said.
