Police are reminding residents to exercise caution after a coyote was spotted in Pembroke Pines.
The Pembroke Pines Police Department posted photos Tuesday on their Facebook of a coyote in the area of NW 15th Court and NW 83rd Way. Residents said they spotted it running through backyards.
Residents are reminded to be vigilant and to use caution whenever they let out their pets and to keep them inside if possible.
Coyotes are opportunistic feeders, but attacks on people are rare -- but families with small children should be cautious.
