A deadly crash had one South Florida roadway completely shut down while police continue to investigate.
Florida Highway Patrol officials reported the accident took place around 11:30 PM Tuesday on Krome Avenue just south of Okeechobee Road. Two vehicles were involved, including a tractor-trailer that fell on its side and covered some of the road with fruit.
Officers are reporting the case as a fatal crash, but have not revealed which driver was killed or if anyone else had been taken to an area hospital as a result of the crash.
Both directions of Krome Avenue remained shutdown for nearly eight hours following the crash.
