FBI Trying to Defuse Fake Bomb Bank Robbers

Robbers pretend plastic pipes are really plastic explosives to rob banks

Federal agents need help trying to capture three bank robbers who use the threat of explosions to rob banks blind.

The hoax bombers most recently hit the Eastern Financial federal Credit Union on Monday morning. In that instance, three men walked into the bank with hand guns drawn - somewhat normal bank robbing procedures.

But one man has a heavy vest on with what looks like explosives attached to it. After demanding to get into the vault, the robbers leave the vest on the floor and threaten to blow anyone to kingdom come if they are followed.

Turns out, the objects on the vest are nothing more than empty pipes.

The bank robbers used the same MO at Regions Bank in Plantation, a Bank of America in Miami Gardens and a Chase Bank in North Miami Beach.

The three suspects are described as black males in their early 20s. They are usually dressed in all black.
