Family Pleads for Help in Solving Fatal Drive-By Shooting in North Miami Beach

The family of a man killed in a drive-by shooting in North Miami Beach is asking for the public's help in finding his killers.

Kyron Richmond was cutting his great aunt's lawn at 21 Northeast 173 Street on Sept. 26 when he was shot twice. Richmond, 49, was rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center where he later died.

On Tuesday, Richmond's family and detectives met with reporters to plea to the public for anyone with information to come forward.

Police say Richmond wasn't the intended target of the shooting. A second victim who was sitting in a nearby car was also shot and hospitalized.

The suspects, who were in a silver or gray Chevrolet Cruze, stepped out of the car and opened fire, spraying more than 10 shots in the street.

Police are urging anyone with information on the shooting to contact Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305 471-TIPS.
