They're forced into having sex for money. Sex trafficking happens in all types of places. It could even be happening in the hotel room next to where you're staying.

"I just want them to actually do something that is going to change this, no one else should have to go through this," a sex trafficking victim said. "It's something that stays with you forever."

The woman said as a teenager she was taken to various hotels and forced to have sex with men.

Some victims say businesses aren't doing enough to protect them, but one company says they're taking action.

Florida Man Slaps Girlfriend's Face With Cheeseburger: Deputies

A Florida man was charged with battery after he pulled his girlfriend's hair, kicked her down the stairs and slapped her in the face with a cheeseburger, sheriff's deputies said.

Martin County Sheriff's deputies said 30-year-old Kyle Jamison Jones attacked his live-in girlfriend when things between them didn't go his way.

Miami-Dade Man Jailed for Spitting On, Threatening Jewish Groups

A Florida man is charged with spitting on an elderly Jewish couple after threatening to sexually assault another group of Jews.

Daniel Starikov, 33, was arrested Wednesday for the March 22 assaults.

Bal Harbour police say Starikov clenched his fists as he approached the group. He allegedly told them he would sexually assault them then added, "You Jews, I'm gonna get you." The group ran inside.

Five minutes later, he confronted another group and spat on two of them.

Florida Best In Nation for Higher Education: Report

When it comes to higher education, Florida beats out all other states in the nation, according to the latest ranking from U.S. News and World Report.

That’s right: The Sunshine State ranks first in the nation for higher education, ahead of Washington, Wyoming, California and North Dakota, the report says.

U.S. News and World Report ranked states based on the number of citizens holding college degrees, as well as the time it takes students to complete two and four-year college degree programs. Cost of tuition and burden of debt were also measured.
