    Miami Police investigators are looking into a case where a pair of cockatoo birds and a cage were stolen from a home's front porch. (Published Thursday, April 28, 2016)

    Miami Police investigators are looking into a case where a pair of cockatoo birds and a cage were stolen from a home's front porch.

    It happened around 5 a.m. April 24 at an apartment complex in the 1800 block of Southwest 9th Street.

    Investigators said the suspect is described as a slender black male, 40-50 years of age, and was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt with a dark blue sweatshirt thrown over his shoulders, khaki shorts and a red/orange baseball hat.

    Police said the man was caught on surveillance footage walking onto the porch, grabbing the cage with the birds and then fleeing the area.
