A Miami Beach masseuse found himself behind bars after being charged with alleged sexual assault of a customer at the salon last week.

Dominic Abosi turned himself into police in Wednesday, charged with one count of sexual battery. The 30-year-old was held on $25,000 bond.

According to an arrest report, the victim says she went to the Tao Spa located off West Avenue on December 6th for a massage. She claims Abosi began massaging her for 20 minutes before he started putting his hands on her private area and started to assault her with his hand for several seconds.

The victim told Abosi to stop, which he did and continued the massage for about 25 minutes. She later reported the assault to Miami Beach Police, who investigated the incident and spoke with a lawyer for Abosi, who joined his client for the surrender.

The owner of the spa, Roland Lassiter, said Abosi was an independent contractor and was immediately taken off the schedule after the arrest.

"They've never had a report of any misconduct against any of our therapists. This is an isolated incident and I feel for both parties involved," Lassiter said.

Abosi appeared in court and was released on bond. Records show he's been a registered massage therapist for about two years.
